Does a Craftsman home need only Craftsman style furniture? Does a home built in the early 1900′s call for antiques throughout? No. Most people who live in stylized or century homes prefer to keep the furniture they already own. For this reason we believe that it is important to stage with a mix of styles in our designs that appeal to the way buyers will actually live in a home.

Here are a few photos from a home built in 1913 that we recently staged in NE Portland. Our client, who recently moved out of the state, said that “the feedback has been universally amazing.” By blending various design styles that all work together, the potential buyers can imagine living in this home, instead of getting the impression that it is trapped in time.

Using one primary accent color in an otherwise neutral color palette allows a buyers eye to effortlessly take in each space without being distracted by the furnishings.

One of the more rewarding aspects of being a home stager is helping buyers see the potential of their new property. When our staging is also helping first time buyers envision their first home, it’s all the more fulfilling.

Although it was a challenging year for the Real Estate market, there were plenty of positive signs to show that the market is moving well when a home is priced appropriately for the neighborhood, prepared well, and professionally staged.

We are pleased to announce our statistics for 2011 which are almost double the results of last year. In 2011 Synergy Staging helped sell over 13.6 million dollars of property that closed. Homes with our staging sold on average at 98% of list price. In addition, our average staged home sold approximately 71% faster when compared to the average days on market throughout the Portland metro area.

Synergy Staging helped showcase this home to stand out amongst many similar properties in the neighborhood. The wall color was changed from white to a few complimentary earth tones which immediately changed the feel of the house. The home was then staged to create an environment that showed potential buyers how they could live in the home and helped them connect to the space.
